Dear Summer. Our time together was nice. We had some laughs, but I’m happy to see you go. I mean, you were a handful. High-maintenance doesn’t even begin to describe you. You’re beautiful Summer, but I’m over you. Autumn and I have something special happening between us.
The past four months have been absolutely insane. In June I moved from Wisconsin to Brooklyn where I took a job as a front-end developer for the Brooklyn Museum (woo!). In August I came back to Madison for a week-long haul, packing up the rest of the house, the cat, and everything loved with my boyfriend Andy. We then schlepped via uhaul truck to our current apartment in Bed Stuy (do or die).
I’ve been busy sewing curtains, accumulating craigslist furniture, and basically rebuilding our nest. There have only been a few illustration projects in this time which have been mainly Madison (and Alaska!) based, as well as some graphic design work for Condé Nast.
I’m hoping that things are now getting settled so I can go back to drawing. All. Of. The. Time.
Happy Autumn - enjoy falling back back back.

Another Madison Bluegrass poster! I love this one for it’s simplicity - and for the lovely ladies and single gentlemen on the bill. I’m filled with warm feelings knowing that my illustrations are still floating around Madison.

After many different renditions and edits - here’s the final cover design of “The Interior Plan” (on the top - my first design on the bottom), published by Fairchild Books of Condé Nast.
